FAQ

Where is the conference being held?

Stanford Humanities Center
424 Santa Teresa St,
Stanford, CA 94305

What transportation is available to the venue?

The Stanford Humanities Center is accessible from downtown Palo Alto via the Marguerite free shuttle system, as well as Uber/Lyft. We'll provide a map and further details on Marguerite routes once we send our program. For those flying into SFO and commuting to downtown Palo Alto, the options are to take a taxi, a slightly less expensive Uber/Lyft, or public transit (the BART to the Caltrain).

I’m a panelist. What length of paper should I prepare?

Please prepare a paper of 15-20 minutes in length, airing on the side of 15 minutes! We hope to preserve time for Q&A and discussion among our group.

Should I bring a Powerpoint? What is your tech set up?

We highly encourage the use of Powerpoint or other audiovisual accompaniment—in fact, we would prefer it! We will have a projector and USB-C to HDMI converter. Please submit your Powerpoint or other presentation materials to Celine Shanosky and Jon Tadmor by 10/22.

What if I have an infrequently asked question?
